Luca Magnussen & Paddock Motorsport
From 2026, Luca Magnussen will compete in McLaren Trophy Europe with Paddock Motorsport – a young, but already highly successful British GT team. In just a few years, Paddock has established itself as a strong McLaren team in both British GT and GT Cup and, in 2025, won both the GT Cup GT3 Championship and the Am title in McLaren Trophy Europe in its first season in the series.
Luca becomes the first driver confirmed for Paddock’s expanded McLaren Trophy Europe programme for 2026, taking the step from single-seaters to full-blooded GT racing in a McLaren Artura Trophy Evo. The agreement is also part of a close collaboration between Paddock Motorsport and Douglas Motorsport, where the two teams share technical resources and offer a clear career pathway from formula cars to GT racing categories.
Paddock Motorsport is more than “just” a racing team. They also run Paddock Prestige Events with VIP hospitality at major motorsport events and tailor-made corporate events, while their Driver Academy, led by team principal and Le Mans winner Martin Plowman, works purposefully with driver development, coaching, fitness, nutrition and career management. This gives Luca both a strong sporting and commercial setup around his campaign in McLaren Trophy Europe.
With Paddock Motorsport behind him, Luca gains access to a team that has already proven its strength with race wins in Europe and titles at a high level – and which also has the ambition to fight for podiums at every race weekend.
